5A recently enjoyed another Home Economics class with the very talented, Ms. Angela West, owner of The Frosted Stilleto bakery. Ms. Angela, as the students call her, came to teach the students how to create decorations using modeling chocolate. The students were given blocks of white chocolate to mold into their own creations. They used a variety of baking tools to fashion their decorations. Ms. Angela will joining our class for one final lesson in March.
先日、５年生はアンジェラ先生による特別クッキングがありました。
お菓子作り専門家のアンジェラ先生とのレッスンは３回目でバレンタインに合わせてチョコレートの造形を楽しみました。
５年A組もC組もアイディアを活かしていろんな形をつくりアンジェラ先生もおそのレベルの高さにおどろいていました。来年のチョコは味だけなく形も工夫したチョコができるかもしれませんね。（アンジェラ先生のクッキングは３月もあります。お楽しみに！）

Today, 5A welcomed four American home-schooled students and their mothers to Okinawa AMICUS. The American students and 5A students are working to build a relationship and share cultural experiences through the use of the English language. 5A students welcomed their American counterparts for lunch, and a game of soccer. The students will return in March before the end of our school year to share another lunch and recess with our class. They will also be joining us for a classroom lesson. We are very blessed to have the opportunity to host the homeschooling students, and we are looking forward to building this program in the upcoming school year.

また、今日は５年A組に４名のかわいいアメリカ人のお客様がランチ時間に来ました。
彼らはアメリカでは大変有名な自宅教育、ホームスクールを受けている子で中には生まれて初めて学校に来た、という子もいました。

５年A組のみんなは４グループにわかれそれぞれお客さんを招きました。
自己紹介から始めその後は普通の会話を英語で楽しんでいました。ランチの後はサッカーをして遊び雨上がりでころんでしまうハプニングもありましたが、ぜひまた来たいといううれしい感想をいただきました。今度は学校の案内をしたいそうです。またあえるといいですね。
