11月9日、10日と2日間に渡って行われたツール・ド・おきなわですが、本校の教職員3名及びチャリ部（サイクリングクラブ）とUMABU（乗馬クラブ）所属の児童5名もこの大会に選手として参加しました。子ども達は全員去年よりも良い記録でゴールし、4年生担任のMr.ヤングは最長の328kmの部に挑戦、見事完走することができました。

The 25th Tour de Okinawa was held on November 9th and 10th, and three of our staff members and 10 students from Charibu (cycling club) and UMABU (horse riding club) participated in the competetion. All the students made it through the finish line faster than last year. Mr. Young, one of the 4th grade teachers, took part in the 328km island one round cycling tour, and he also completed the full distance.

ツール・ド・おきなわ328kmのコースは北部の美しい自然や南部の都会の風景を巡りながらも、忍耐力の試される過酷なレースでした。しかし、合計13時間以上、２日間に渡るこのレースを通じ、全国各地、世界各国からの参加者と友達になることができました。沿道からはフレンドリーな沖縄の人たちから多くの声援をかけていただき、この長距離のレースを走りきることができました。

The Tour de Okinawa 328km cycling course was a grueling test of endurance through the beautiful mountainous terrain of northern Okinawa and the urban southern section. I made friends from all over Japan and other parts of the world while riding for more than 13 hours over two days. Many friendly Okinawans helped power my journey by cheering me along the route.
