Okinawa AMICUS International, both Elementary and Junior High Schools, has become as of 2020 a member of Round Square. This is a worldwide network of schools that seek to provide experiential learning and character education, based upon the six IDEALS; International Understanding, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership, Service.

  This provides for our teachers and our students a wealth of opportunities to collaborate with their peers around the world, and a robust and time-tested framework for the pursuit of education that seeks to develop young people who will become active citizens, both local and global.

 The school has been accepted as a member in recognition of the fact that what we do already is in keeping with the philosophy of the organization and the other schools within it. Membership is subject to review and as such it is important that we be an active member.
