After-school care Program (ASCP/Gakudo)
AMICUS offers an After-School Care Program (ASCP) mainly for children whose parents cannot attend at home due to work or other reasons. It is offered inside the school facility.
The ASCP is for Grades 1 to Grade 6.
We value the relationship between the staff and children as ASCP is regarded as a second home for the children. Our goal is to cultivate a pioneering spirit in the children through daily activities and play in a “home-like” atmosphere.
There are varieties of activities such as soccer, dodgeball, and other outside sports, while in the gym they play basketball, badminton, and unicycling. Occasionally, we take advantage of the rich natural environment such as forests and rivers in the school premises for nature exploration.
Indoors, children relax and read books on the sofa, or engage in seasonal craft activities in the craft room. In this way, we provide an environment where each child can participate in any activity he/she wishes.
At ASCP, our motto is “safe, secure, and fun,” which means that children can relax, try various things, and enjoy spending time with friends and staff at any time. We listen to the children, accompany them, and provide them with the necessary support daily while encouraging their “moral” growth, such as communicating their own opinions and being attentive to the feelings of others through the various experiences they have with each other in their society.
