Exchange Students from Korea and Singapore

AMICUS junior high school students participated in an exchange program to Korea and Singapore for about 2 weeks in mid-November last year, and now 3 exchange students who hosted them at that time are visiting AMICUS from Korea and Singapore.

Two students from Singapore love Japanese ramen, curry with pork cutlet, and Okinawan soba (Okinawan noodle) very much! They are impressed by the variety of convenience stores! They also said Singapore has many skyscrapers, but Okinawa has many low buildings.

They are surprised that students clean up after school by themselves and eat school lunch together in the same place! In Singapore, janitors clean schools and  students buy lunch wherever they want and eat it wherever they want. They are curious that many of the girls have bangs and their hairstyles are different. In Singapore, the students’ population is so big at each school so there are students who have never spoken to in the same school. They said they were happy to know everyone in the class and classmates at AMICUS were very kind.

A student from Korea said Okinawan tofu is like jelly! Melon bread (Melon-shaped bun) is delicious! She is surprised to see so many sweets are sold at convenience stores and no spicy foods! Sushi in Japan is half the price of Korea! But the buses are expensive in Japan.

Please enjoy the rest of the days at AMICUS!
