Okinawa Amicus choir participated in the Christmas event at Gushikawa Koseien

An article in today’s Okinawa Times (December 31, 2024) features Okinawa Amicus choir’s participation in the Christmas event at Gushikawa Koseien, a senior care facility in Uruma City, where they performed Christmas songs. The event took place on December 26.

Despite being during the winter vacation period, when families likely had various plans, the children gathered at the facility, arriving with the help of their parents. They came from as far south as Tomigusuku City and as far north as Nakijin Village.

Witnessing the Amicus children passionately singing to bring happiness to the elderly residents by sharing their musical talents was deeply moving. It warmed my heart and allowed me to conclude the year with a profound sense of gratitude and joy.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the parents who kindly assisted with transportation during this busy end-of-year period. Photos from the event are included here for you to enjoy. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the newspaper article, but I encourage you to refer to the Okinawa Times for more details.
