This morning, there was a crowd in front of the media center wall.
I could hear some happy voices here and there.
The reason…
In 1994, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) designated October 5 as “Teachers’ Day,” and the SHinE (AMICUS Parents’ Organization) made “Thankful Trees” as a token of their appreciation for AMICUS’ faculty and staff!
Each leaf is a symbol of the children’s gratitude for their teachers and staff.
The tree was made to express their gratitude to their homeroom teachers, subject teachers, office staff, bus staff, and many others who have helped them on a daily basis.
Thank you to everyone at SHinE for bringing this wonderful idea to fruition.
We all feel very appreciated!
It was a very good end to our 1st semester.
We also received these lovely gifts from Kindergarten children.
We all feel very appreciated!
