G4, G5, and G6 regularly participate in club activities such as chess as part of their classes.

 

 

On October 4, the Shogi Club invited Mr. Miyahira, President of the Ryukyu Shogi Association, to experience the Ryukyu Shogi game of xiangqi.

 

 

Xiangqi was introduced to the Ryukyu Kingdom from China about 600 years ago and spread throughout the Ryukyu Islands.

 

 

At the end of the event, Mr. Miyahira gave everyone a handmade xiangqi set as a gift.
