In honor of Okinawa Memorial Day on June 23th, AMICUS held a peace assembly for elementary students and junior high students on June 17th, and for kindergarten students on June 24th.
The elementary and junior high students sang songs expressing their wishes for peace and listened to a lecture by a special guest speaker who had experienced the battle of Okinawa.
The kindergarten students had a presentation about what peace meant to them. It was a valuable opportunity for all of them to think about peace.
