The second graders had an online exchange with the second graders of the elementary school of Matthew Flinders Anglican University in Australia.
Both are the member schools of Round Square.
This time, the Australian second graders were learning about Japan, so they organized an exchange with AMICUS.
During the exchange, they asked each other a variety of questions.
AMICUS kids asked Australian kids: “Are there dangerous animals in Australia?” “What games do you play during recess?” “Can you describe what your school is like?” etc.
Australian kids asked AMICUS kids: “What does your typical school day look like?” “What sports do you offer?” “What do you eat for breakfast/lunch ?” etc.
They were very curious about each others’ culture and school lives and were surprised to discover similarities and differences.
We look forward to our further exchanges again!
