JH students took Karate lessons with two of the AMICUS Karate coaches, Ms. Sawada and Ms. Uchima.

 

 

Each grade learned different karate kata, “Fukyu kata ichi” for 7th graders, “Fukyu kata ni” for 8th graders, and “Nisei shi” for 9th graders.

 

 

They all have done three lessons and demonstrated their karate performance on the last day of the lessons.

 

 

The students are usually friendly and lively, however, they looked so serious when they were performing karate!

 

 

Even though there were only a few lessons, they learned impartant aspects of karate such as to synchronize with a group, and to perform powerfully!
