Our 3rd graders and 4th graders did their first calligraphy this year.
G3 wrote “friend” in kanji, and G4 wrote their resolution for this year, in 4 kanji-character-idiom.
Students who are good at calligraphy were kindly supporting their friends.
They calmed their minds and were concentrating on writing with a brush.
Also in kindergarten, professional calligrapher Mr. Muga Nakasone had a demonstration for the children.
The performance using a huge brush attracted the children’s attention!
It was such a marvelous and humorous performance that the children were able to enjoy Japanese calligraphy!
