G5 students sent their essays and poems to the “Peace Message Contest” organized by the NPO corporation, Ishikawa-Miyamori 630 kai*.

The ceremony took place on November 12th and 14 students from AMICUS received awards.

The head of the organization gave a speech to the students and awarded the certificates to each of them.

There were comments from students such as, “It was an honor to receive a prize”, and “I want to continue to think about peace”.

It has become an opportunity to recognize the tragic accident that happened in one of the elementary schools in Uruma city, where AMICUS is also located.

*NPO, Ishikawa-Miyamori 630 kai was founded in 2010 to acknowledge people about the accident at Miyamori elementary school, in which the U.S jet aircraft crashed into the school on June 30th, 1959.
