In Grade 5, they read some newspapers as a part of Japanese curriculum.

There were four stations that provided different materials of news and they enjoyed it all!

①Newspaper for Kids

They chose some articles from wide range of topics.

②Digital News

They used iPads to search for some news.

③Teacher’s recommendation

They found some interesting articles from the ones their teachers have picked up.

④4-frame manga / Collage Senryu (a short poetry)

They actually tried making 4-frame manga and collage senryu by scrapping the news paper.

They made some interesting works!

They also interviewed the reporter of the Ryukyu Shimpo.

It was a precious moment for them to hear from him!

5th graders will write a feedback essay by reading the articles that they’ve chosen.

They were able to know various ways to enjoy the news articles!
