Today, we would like to share about everyday JH online learning.
JH starts their day with a short homeroom at 8:30, then they have classes where they spend their time working on assignments and asking questions to teachers.
In English class, students have been practicing very hard for the speech contest which is planned to be held in June. They take videos of their speech and the teacher gives them advice on their performances such as; voice, posture, eye contact, attitude, etc.
In science class, students learn about fossils and sedimentary layers by watching the teacher’s videos or using google earth. G9 students learned about the electricity by watching the videos of the experiments.
In math class, math teachers make some explanation videos for the students. Teachers try to make the students feel like they are actually taking the class in person.
In Japanese class, students made slides based on their topic, and they discussed and shared their ideas with their classmates.
In art class, students worked on some tasks such as coloring and sketching and submitted the pictures of their work.
They have P.E. class twice a week. They do some exercises that they can do at home such as; stretching, core training, and dancing.
Junior high students also started learning about peace for the Peace Week that is scheduled around the Okinawa Memorial Day(irei no hi) in June.
Variety of contents are provided for JH distance learning!
