To All Our Parents and Guardians

 As the suspension of school lengthens I would like to send a message from the Head of School to our children, which will then be posted on our homepage. Please pass it on to your children. 

 To All Students At AMICUS

  Hello, this is Mr Onishi, the Head of School.

  For those of you who were looking forward to school reopening I would like to say sorry that we have had to extend the closure. Please understand that this is to protect all of your health. 

 Since the last message the situation in the prefecture, the country as a whole and indeed in the world has worsened. As with the earlier message, I ask that you act with understanding of the reasons for the closure. So first of all, do not do anything that may lead to infection. Consider also the possibility of you infecting others. This closure of the school is to safeguard your health, so act accordingly.

 Our distance learning and online classes will be starting up.

 Your new homeroom teachers will be contacting you from the school and providing you with schoolwork. Your teachers have been working hard to come up with ideas for ways for you to study at home, so please be cheerful and positive! It is exactly at times like this that the AMICUS philosophy of think, learn act should be harnessed. Be hungry for knowledge, listen to your teachers and take full part, and take ownership of your learning.

 When exactly the current difficulties will abate, no one knows, but they will and we will all be able to return to school. Until then things will be tough. Let us work together.
