Today’s AMICUS has focused on Kindergarten children on their big excursion to the strawberry farm.
They’ve all been looking forward for the excursion, however, it rained quite heavily in the morning. Although they didn’t give up their hope. They made a “Teru-Teru-Bozu” (A paper doll made from tissue papers which is typical in Japan for wishing fine weather) together, and sang Mr. Sun. Their wish came true and the sun shined upon them. They’re off to the strawberry farm.
On the way they were talking about how many strawberries they could eat. When they arrived they were happy to find big strawberries ready to be eaten.
After the visit the kindergarten children who were stimulated their curiosity, could not stop asking questions.
“Why are there honeybees?”
“How do they become strawberries after flowers bloom?”
“What’s gonna happen to them after they become red?”
“What are those dots?”
While their curiosity is still fresh and live, we decided to look up on all the information to answer their questions.
After all, it was a great excursion, filled with many new things to learn.
