On February 27th, Grade 3 was fortunate enough to have guests from a company called ‘Dolphins’ who assist disabled people.

The visitors read a Kamishibai traditional folk tale which enthralled the students. As part of Sophie’s time and a human rights activity, this was  chance for students to not only get to know and learn about disabilities, but also to understand that we are all the same no matter what the case may be.

After the story, students accompanied the guest to search around Amicus and take photos of areas that can be made more disabled friendly. They will then submit ideas to the school in the hope of making some improvements to help disabled visitors in the future.
