Today’s AMICUS has focused on the Grade 7 Disability Equality Training (DET) Program. Students had a great opportunity to deepen their understanding towards people who have disabilities.

 

 

Students first wrote about their impression towards people who have disabilities, before the lecture. Then they watched a video about how people who have disabilities go through difficulties in their daily lives.

 

 

They participated in an activity where they try to get through a star-shaped model into a cardboard box. Through this activity they all had chances to think about how they could make the world better for people with disabilities, and shared their ideas with the whole class.
