Today was our International Food Festival. I smelled something delicious and I decided to follow the smell. As I entered the Cooking Room I saw food prepared on the table. There was a variety of food from Japan, North America, Ireland, Morocco, and Bangladesh.
Which country did this dish come from? The kindergarten kids learned of its origin, and where the country is located on the world map.
“Thank you.” They were very well mannered to the guests.
“Kwacchi- Sabira! Let’s eat. Thank you, Mommy and Daddy! Itadakimasu!”
In countries such as Morocco and Bangladesh, they have a custom to eat food using only their right hand. Some students tried to follow that custom and ate their food with their hands!
To show our guests great appreciation for their time and effort cooking this great food, we all spoke in unison:
“Thank you very much for cooking the food!”
