Next week the G8 students will participate in a job experience program.
They will attend a hospital, fire station, zoo, another school, a nursing home and even a sweet shop!
But, they first had to have a lecture on business manners.
Our ancestors taught us that “first impressions last.” It seems that this is quite true.
They made sure they were all well-prepared.
But what about their teachers?
The next lesson was on postures and bows.
“This posture doesn’t feel right.”
“It’s so different to what I do naturally. Lol!”
The postures taught to the students seemed uncomfortable for them. No wonder it’s something you need to practice daily.
Finally, we took a photo of the final bow. Even I, the photographer, was quite impressed when I took their photo from the front.
Finally, they practiced business card swapping, which is a business ritual in Japan.
“I’m 〇〇 from Okinawa AMICUS International. It is nice to meet you.”
It was a little embarrassing for the students to demonstrate this in front of their peers, but they ended up doing it perfectly.
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR FIRST DAY AT WORK!
