On Thursday, we had the Junior High School Assembly.
In Junior High School the assemblies are run by the student council. They look so calm and professional.
Today’s assembly was a little different, as they gave a big cheer to the competitors who are going to represent the school to compete in the competition of Japan Junior High School Physical Education Federation (Chu-Tai-Ren). It was held last Friday and Saturday. The competitors came out to the front, and we all sang the “AMICUS Fight Song”, to give them a big courage. We all sang with power and pride to send them off.
Finally, we had our principal’s speech. “Children are only 25% of the world’s population, but they are 100% of the future.” The quote was to remind the students that they need to challenge their own problem and not to wait for the adults to solve it. Although, I think the students are already well aware of that. I think children grow up a lost faster than we expect. Especially from the fact that they’ve been learning here at AMICUS with the school policy, THINK, LEARN, and ACT.
Anyhow, GOOD LUCK at the Chu-Tai-Ren!!!
