Today’s focus was on the junior high school students.
The class that was working on the instructional video last week, was having their draft work checked by the teacher. There were so many things they needed to overcome when it actually came to showing. Some went over time because there were too many ideas they wanted to fit in. Some had too much reflection so it was difficult to see. They’re going to spend a lot of time re-editing. Still quite a lot to work on, but we are really looking forward to see the final work.
In home economics, students were cocntinuing to work on the cross-stitches. Last week, they were still watching the video clip, but today, they were almost finished. Their outcome varied, as some chose to work on the color of the peace mark, while others were putting more effort on the different style of stitches.
At AMICUS, we offer junior high school math both in Japanese and in English, so the students can make smooth transition when they move up to Japanese high school. It’s pretty amazing how they can understand and solve math problems in two languages.
In another class, the students were working on their scripts for the speech contest. The topic varied to things like “Basketball”, “K-POP”, and “American Fighter Jets.” Some of the students, who finished their draft copy, were checking their time, while others were having their script checked by the teachers. We can’t wait to hear their speeches!!
