AMICUS is in the summer vacation now and some of our students went to Germany and stayed there for two weeks.

They attended “Youth Exchange in Germany 2017” program which is organized by Okinawa International Youth Hostel, and AMICUS is its affiliate partner.

This year, we have 14 students totally. 11 students are from AMICUS and other 3 are from other public junior high.　This program offers the language lectures and cultural exchange with German students for two weeks at Sachsen, Germany. The German students who joined this program will visit Japan in the autumn and we will spend one day program at AMICUS together and weekend homestay at AMICUS families.

Since English is not their first language, both of Japanese and German students have to try really hard to understand each other. Also, they had a chance to discuss about the issues around the world and Japan. We believe that the program was a great experience for our students as future “Glocal citizen”.
