Last Friday, Grade 6 had their first career talk session.
We invited Mr. Hisashi Kinjo who volunteers as an official judge of bj League (professional basketball league) , and he explained the roles of the judge by showing some Ryukyu Golden Kings game which he was on the court as one of the judges.
He also shared his story with our G6 students. It took him four years to be an official judge, but he never gave up and kept on working. He shared his experience how it’s important to search for the information that is necessary to achieve the dream.
These are some of the feedback from the students.
“I only watched the players, but now I know the judges have important roles too.”
“Not to say it too simply, but quietly keep working is a key.”
“Working hard on the strength I already have (like English) will help me in the future.”
Mr. Kinjo also works as a commentator on radio for NBA and American Football league.
Ryukyu Golden Kings ended their season last weekend, but we are very looking forward to the next season!
