We went on our first field trip this year! The weather cooperated really well. Our Kindergarteners enjoyed a lot not only the sweet potato digging but also playing in the park.
After the farmer’s explanation, kinder friends dug up sweet potatoes with their full power while feeling the soil’s texture using shovels and their hands.
“There are baby potatoes!”
“I’ve got such a big potato!”
“Lots of potatoes are connected!”
Some friends enjoyed playing roles like characters of “The Gigantic Turnip” while digging sweet potatoes and said “Untokosho! Dokkoisho!”
There were few people except AMICUS kinder friends at Zanpa Park. It seemed to be the place to ourselves! After eating lunch and playing at the park, we walked to see the Zanpa lighthouse.
The days are getting cooler and more comfortable. We hope you enjoyed Fall Break.
