K1’s Busy Week

Despite it being a short week, K1s did a lot of things!

K1 friends began to present their soy bean observations to each other.

We talked a lot about “peace” this week. We read books about peace and asked each other what we think peace means Then we worked together to paint peace doves for Amicus “Peace Week” and make our June wall decoration.

K1 friends made their “I’m Special” books. Now they are learning to read them. We are reading together. Next, students will learn to read their books by themselves. We would like for them to read their books to their parents during their PTC meetings. Please clap for them!

K1s enjoyed a fun and challenging P.E. lesson.

Kinder Peace Assembly

June 23rd is a yearly PEACE MEMORIAL DAY in Okinawa. Before that, we have read a book and talked to our Kinder friends about it. ๏ผ–ๆœˆ๏ผ’๏ผ“ๆ—ฅใฏใ€ๆ…ฐ้œŠใฎๆ—ฅใงใ™ใ€‚ใใ“ใงใ€AMICUSใงใฏใ€ๅนณๅ’Œใซใคใ„ใฆ่€ƒใˆใ‚‹ๆฉŸไผšใ‚’ไฝœใ‚Šใพใ—ใŸใ€‚

ๅ…ˆๆ—ฅใ€What is PEACE? ใ€Œๅนณๅ’Œใฃใฆใชใซ๏ผŸใ€ใจใฟใ‚“ใชใง่ฉฑใ—ใฆใฟใพใ—ใŸใ€‚

Many friends shared their ideas of PEACE.

ใ€Œใ‚ณใƒญใƒŠใŒๆฒปใฃใŸใ‚‰ๅนณๅ’Œใ€”If there is no more CORONA, then there is PEACE.”.

ใ€Œใ‹ใžใใง้Šใถใ“ใจใ€”It means playing with my family together.”

ใ€Œ็ฉบใ‚„ๆตทใŒใใ‚Œใ„ใงๅค–ใซใ„ใฃใฑใ„ใƒใƒƒใ‚ฟใŒ้ฃ›ใ‚“ใงใ„ใŸใ‚‰ๅนณๅ’Œใ€”When I see a beautiful ocean, nice sky and grasshoppers hopping, it feels peaceful.”

ใ€Œใ‚ดใƒŸใฎไธŠใง็”Ÿๆดปใ—ใฆใ„ใ‚‹ไบบใŒใ„ใชใใชใ‚‹ใ“ใจใ€”If we don’t produce a lot of trash then, there will be no more garbage collector. Let’s take care of our environment and mother earth more so we can live peacefully.”

ใ€Œๅนณๅ’Œใฎๆ™‚ใซ็”Ÿใพใ‚Œใฆใใฆใ‚ˆใ‹ใฃใŸใ€”I am lucky to be born now that there is no more war in Japan.”

ใฟใ‚“ใชใฎๆ€ใ†ๅนณๅ’ŒใŒใŸใใ•ใ‚“ใงใฆใใพใ—ใŸใ€‚Our Kindergarteners have lots of ideas and they are thinking deeply about PEACE.

ๆฒ–็ธ„ใง่ตทใ“ใฃใŸๆˆฆไบ‰ใฎ็ตตๆœฌใ‚’่ชญใ‚“ใ ใ‚Šใ€ใ€Œใชใ‚“ใงๆˆฆไบ‰ใซใชใฃใŸใ‚“ใ ใ‚ใ†๏ผŸใ€ใ€Œใฉใ†ใ™ใ‚Œๅนณๅ’Œใงใ„ใ‚‰ใ‚Œใ‚‹ใ‚“ใ ใ‚ใ†๏ผŸใ€ใฟใ‚“ใชใฎ่€ƒใˆใ‚’่žใใชใŒใ‚‰ใ„ใ‚ใ„ใ‚ใจๅญฆใณใพใ—ใŸใ€‚Again, we shared with them a storybook entitled “ITADAKIMASU”. We listened to their ideas, questions and taught together on how can we enjoy peace through our simple ways.

ใ€Œๆˆฆไบ‰ใฎใจใใฏใ€้ฃŸในใ‚‹ใ‚‚ใฎใŒใชใใฆใ‚ซใ‚ฟใƒ„ใƒ ใƒชใ‚’้ฃŸในใฆใ„ใŸใ“ใจใŒใณใฃใใ‚Šใ—ใŸใ€‚ใ€”When I heard that they didn’t have food, they ate snail. I am shocked.”

ใ€Œๆˆฆไบ‰ใŒๆ€–ใ‹ใฃใŸใ€”I am scared of war.”

ใ€Œใฆใฃใฝใ†ใŒๆ€–ใ‹ใฃใŸใ€”I am scared of gun.”

ใ€Œใชใ‚“ใงๆˆฆไบ‰ใฎใจใใฏใ€ใ‚„ใพใซใ„ใใฎ๏ผŸใ€”During the war, why did they hide in the forest?”

ใ€Œใชใ‚“ใงๆญฆๅ™จใ‚’ใ‚‚ใฃใฆใ„ใชใ„ใฎใซๆ”ปๆ’ƒใ™ใ‚‹ใฎ๏ผŸใ€”Why are they fighting with those unarmed Okinawans?”

ใใ‚“ใช็–‘ๅ•ใ‚‚ๅ‡บใฆใใพใ—ใŸใ€‚Those are the reactions and questions by our Kinder friends.

ๅนณๅ’Œใชไธ–็•ŒใŒ็ถšใใŸใ‚ใซใ€ใ€Œๅ‹้”ใจไธ€็ท’ใซใ‚ใใถใ“ใจใ€ใ€ŒใŠๅ‹้”ใซใ‚„ใ•ใ—ใใ™ใ‚‹ใ“ใจใ€ใ€Œใ“ใพใฃใฆใ„ใ‚‹ใŠๅ‹้”ใŒใ„ใŸใ‚‰ๅŠฉใ‘ๅˆใฃใŸใ‚Šใ€ใŠๅ‹้”ใฎ่€ƒใˆใ‚„ใ‚ขใ‚คใƒ‡ใ‚ฃใ‚ขใ‚‚ใใใ“ใจใ€ใชใฉใ€่‡ชๅˆ†ใŸใกใŒใงใใ‚‹ใ“ใจใ‚‚่€ƒใˆใพใ—ใŸใ€‚We are lucky to experience a peaceful world. We taught together on how our friends can continue living peacefully by doing the following: (1) playing with my friends, (2) be kind to my friends, (3) help each other, listen to my friends ideas and think of my friend’s feelings too.

่‰ฒใ‚“ใชใŠๅ‹้”ใŒใ„ใฆใ€ใฟใ‚“ใช้•ใฃใฆใ„ใ‚‹ใ‹ใ‚‰ใ€ใŠใ‚‚ใ—ใ‚ใ„ใ—ใ€ๅŠฉใ‘ๅˆใˆใ‚‹ใ€‚ใใ‚“ใชใ€ใŠไบ’ใ„ใ‚’ๅฐŠๆ•ฌใ—ใŸใ‚Šใ€ๆ„Ÿ่ฌใ—ใ‚ใˆใ‚‹็ด ๆ•ตใชๆญŒใ‚‚ใฟใ‚“ใชใง่žใใพใ—ใŸใ€‚We also listened to this song to encourage them to respect each other’s differences and appreciate other people’s uniqueness.

At 12noon, let us pause for a moment to be thankful of all the blessings that we are receiving and experiencing now.

Father’s Day 2021

Our Kinder friends prepared a special gift for them.

K1 friends made their greeting cards and planted soybeans.

K2 friends also made their greeting cards and special gifts too.
