Churaumi Aquarium… What a Beautiful Day!

on October 27, 2023

K1 friends enjoyed their biggest field trip of the year to Churaumi Aquarium in Motobu. They day was beautiful, the bus ride was long, but they did a great job and had a great time!

A beautiful day and beautiful bus ride…

We arrived!

“I see sharks!”

We saw “sea garbage art”. K1s learned how garbage is dangerous for sharks. They said, “Let’s do beach cleaning!”

Q&A. To continue our Animals theme learning, we sent many questions about sharks to the Churaumi staff. They prepared a short presentation for us. K1 “Interviewers” ask questions to Ms. Higa and we were able to learn more about amazing sharks.

Question 1: how are sharks born?

Question 2: what do sharks’ scales look like?

Question 3: how many types of sharks are there?

Question 4: how fast do sharks swim?

Questions 5: What should you do if you see a shark in the ocean?

Question 6: what does the inside of sharks’ bodies look like?

Lunch Time

Leaving Churaumi. Returning to Amicus.

We shared what we enjoyed. It was a great day!
