Waterplay before Summer Break

Our Kinder friends enjoyed our waterplay on the last day of school before summer break.

We had different stations and they were free to choose wherever they want to go every after 10 minutes.

Fishing Station

Bubble Station

Ice Table Station

Water Slide Station

Pool Station

It was a lot of fun before the rain poured out that day. 🙂

K1- growing soybeans, growing hearts

From K1s theme of “Plants” the students have become interested in growing foods themselves. So we have started an えだまめ soybean garden so students can try and make だいず daizu and then finally とうふ tofu. We’re excited!

We enjoyed a Plants Treasure Hunt. We took a nature walk around Amicus and made maps of our school plants and flowers. It was fun. K1s learned a lot about their school.

K1’s July Fun!

Firstly, we would like to thank you K1 parents of joining our OPEN CLASS this week! The students were happy (and nervous ;)) to see you at school. Please encourage your child more as they enjoy their school life. It was good to see you all!

This week we learned about Tanabata. It’s a traditional celebration held on July 7th. We read a story about Orihime and Hikoboshi (Ushikai). They wrote their wishes and hung them on a bamboo tree. Some students wish to “run faster”, “be a princess”, “for corona virus to disappear”, etc. We hope you could read your child’s wish during PTC. Here are some of the photos.

We learned a new game! Students learned how to play BINGO. For many friends it was their first time. They had fun!

Challenging P.E.!

Thank you!

Thank you so much parents for participating on our PTC! It was great to see all of our families again. We look forward to seeing the many ways our fantastic K1s and K2s will grow this year. If you have any questions or comments, you can communicate with us through the Communication Book or by phone after dismissal time.

Thank you again for coming!

K2 LIBRARY DAY

Our K2 friends love reading books. Last year, they borrowed books from Kinder LIBRARY.

But this year, they go to AMICUS LIBRARY. Meet our LIBRARIAN 🙂 We go to the library to return and borrow books every WEDNESDAY except when it is raining or holiday so we usually postpone it to the next day.
K2では、毎週水曜日AMICUSの図書館に行き絵本を借りています。雨の日や休日などは行くことができないので、その場合は、図書館司書と相談して翌日行くこともあります。

They also read books there.

Miss Masami also read a book for them every time we visit her.

PLEASE LET YOUR CHILD BRING HIS/HER BORROWED BOOKS INSIDE A LIBRARY BAG ON or BEFORE WEDNESDAY. Let’s continue reading and loving books! 😉
毎週水曜日には図書館利用を行いますので、子どもたちと一緒に絵本と、絵本バッグの準備をお願いします。
