Dear parents, thank you for coming and joining us last Friday. Here are a few snapshots of our event.
We appreciate your help, support and encouragement so that our Kinder friends can show their skills and enjoy. We have another event on Friday, see you then 🙂
スポーツデイの練習、そして本番を通して、子どもたちは大きな自信を持つことができたと思います。本番の子どもたちはいつも以上にキラキラ輝いていました!スポーツデイに向けてたくさんの応援とご協力ありがとうございました!
K1 friends have been taking care of our plants. They do watering, weeding, recovering the soil and talking to plants like “大きくなぁれ” “おいしくなぁれ” every day. We were able to harvest two cucumbers last week because they did good taking care of their plants! もしかすると、植物たちがみんなの声を聞いていたのかもね😘 Good job K1!!!👍🏽
We ate the freshly harvested cucumbers for afternoon snack. It was super yummy!! Also, more cucumbers are still growing and we might be able to harvest them this week! Grow plants, grow!!💕
Our birthday friends made the cake early in the morning 🙂
Here is a glimpse of our celebration 🙂

A beautiful day and beautiful bus ride…
We arrived!
“I see sharks!”
We saw “sea garbage art”. K1s learned how garbage is dangerous for sharks. They said, “Let’s do beach cleaning!”
Q&A. To continue our Animals theme learning, we sent many questions about sharks to the Churaumi staff. They prepared a short presentation for us. K1 “Interviewers” ask questions to Ms. Higa and we were able to learn more about amazing sharks.
Question 1: how are sharks born?
Question 2: what do sharks’ scales look like?
Question 3: how many types of sharks are there?
Question 4: how fast do sharks swim?
Questions 5: What should you do if you see a shark in the ocean?
Question 6: what does the inside of sharks’ bodies look like?
Lunch Time
Leaving Churaumi. Returning to Amicus.
We shared what we enjoyed. It was a great day!
Early in the morning, our birthday friends were busy making cake.

Last weekend marked the end of summer and the beginning of the beautiful fall season. K1s learned about the wonderful seasonal hobby of “moon watching” or じゅうごや。We had fun learning the Japanese traditional song, うさぎつき (Rabbit and the Moon)。K1s made beautiful artwork about the full autumn moon. They used several different art techniques. They had a great time. Please enjoy the photos. We hope you enjoyed a peaceful Autumn Break. We were happy to see most of our K1s back today to start Term 2 with fun!
