K2 Cloud Activity ☁️

𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐬.

🌤️K2 Clouds Activity ☁️

𝓗𝓮𝓻𝓮 𝓲𝓼 𝓪 𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓸𝓯 𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓒𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭 𝓐𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓲𝓽𝔂. ☁️

Clouds Experiment
雲を作る実験!

  1. Wash the pet bottle and leave the mist.(ペットボトルに水のミストを残す。)
  2. Put the smoke in the bottle.(ペットボトルに、線香の煙を少し入れる。)
  3. Use the pump to put a little pressure inside.(炭酸キーパー(ダイソーで買えます!)で加圧する。)
  4. Then, open the cap and you’ll see the clouds. 👏👏👏(ペットボトルの蓋をゆるめると、雲ができます!)

Who wants to try? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ 😊

Hooray! We did it! After that, we talked about how clouds are formed. 🌤️
みんなも 雲づくりに挑戦しました!
そのあと、雲は何でできているのかお話しました♪

We put under the sun for 2-3 days and check if the water will really evaporate.
水は太陽の力で水蒸気になって、雲の赤ちゃんになると話したあと、ほんとにそうなのかな?と、みんなで観察してみることにしました!

After 3 days, true enough the water got lesser each day.
3日間、太陽の下に置いていたコップの水は、少し減っていて、「ほんとに雲の赤ちゃんになったんだ~!」とみんな驚いていました。

After this experiment, they got more interested in learning the different types of clouds.
ますます、雲に興味を持った子どもたちと一緒に、いろんな雲の種類を学んでみました♪

What cloud do you see? 👀

☺わたぐもって、ほんとに わたみたいだね!
☺このくも、ぞうにみえるよ!
☺このくもは、かぜがフーってしたみたい!

📚We had quiz and we researched together!👏👏👏
クイズを通して、それぞれの雲には、いろんな特徴があることを学びました!
図鑑や絵本などに、クイズの答えがありました。

Our K2 friends have a better understanding of the clouds now. Although it is still difficult to know each type of cloud deeply, they are very interested to learn more about them. Please continue to talk to your child about clouds and the weather everyday.🥰

K2 Library Time 😊

Today is the first time that our K2 friends used AMICUS Library. On our way going up, many friends notice the beautiful clouds.

Student1: Look at the sky, the cloud is beautiful. そらみて~!くもがきれいだよ。

Other students: Yes!!! nice clouds!ほんとだ!きれい!

Student 2: What type of cloud is that? あれはなんの くもかな?

Student 3: I think it’s cirrocumulus cloud! うろこぐも だよ!

Other Student: we think so too! わたしも うろこぐもだとおもう!

Student 4: No, I think it’s altocumulus cloud. ちがうよ、ひつじぐもだよねー

More students: Yes, yes! We can see many sheep. うん! ひつじぐもだよ !

That’s how they think and learn. After that, all students agreed that this type of cloud is ALTOCUMULUS.

このように、子どもたちは学んだことを外で確かめ合っていました!

Then, we reached our destination. Our Librarian, Miss Masami Shimabukuro welcomed us. She explained the rules in the Library so that everyone can enjoy reading and borrowing books.

They also had the tour of the different sections in the Library.

Then, they read the books and selected the books that they want to borrow.

They really enjoyed their first Library Time with Miss Masami.

On our way back to Kinder, they looked up in the sky again. They noticed that clouds changed. All of them said that this type of cloud is CUMULUS CLOUD.

Please read the books together with your child and bring the Library Bag with books on Monday. We will go to the Library every Friday unless there are events or special schedule. Also, the weather is really good these days so take time to look at they sky and talk to your child about the clouds if you are going outside this weekend. Enjoy 😊
 今日は初めてのライブラリーの日でした♪図書館の先生、Ms.Masamiから図書館でのマナーや本の貸し出しの仕方を教えてもらい、絵本を借りることができました!Ms. Masamiは幼稚園から中学校まで使用する図書館の管理をしています。そのため、ときどき、金曜日ではなく日程が変わることがあります。その際は、子どもたちに伝えていくので、ご確認よろしくお願いします♪

Koinobori- Children’s Day

Children’s Day is a cultural celebration of children. It takes place on May 5th. Hanging carp streamers represents the hope that our children will grow healthy and strong and live long “genki” lives. We hope you will enjoy celebrating your child and making many wonderful memories during this long Golden Week!

K2 Phonics Time

The new School Year has begun. For our K2 friends, more challenging but fun activities are waiting! 🙂 This year, the goal in Phonics Time are the following: (1) learn how to write the letters of the alphabet (2) sound out and blend the letters to help them start reading sight and simple words and (3) express their interests using English words.
K2でもフォニックスタイムが始まりました♪この一年間様々な活動を通してたくさんのことが学べたらなと思っています。今年のフォニックスの目標として、1、アルファベットを書き方を学ぶこと。2、アルファベットの音を学んで英語が読めるようになったらいいな。3、英語を使って、自分の好きなことや興味のあることを伝えたり表したりすること。様々な活動を通し、いろいろなことにチャレンジしていけたらと思っています。

In Phonics, we learn and play together. Learning English is fun but might be challenging for some friends so we ask your cooperation dear parents to please encourage your child to keep their motivation. Let’s enjoy learning together💗

🌤️K2 Clouds Activity ☁️

Do you ever wonder why there are clouds? Why the color of the clouds changes? Why clouds have different shapes? Those are actually our K2 friend’s questions. So, we started to learn about the different types of clouds now.
K2では天気をテーマとしたアクティビティが始まりました。天気の中でも、雲について学び始めています。雲の色の違いや形の違いに疑問を持っていた子どもたち。

Wednesday April 26 : We went outside and check the clouds with Bougainvillea friends. They were asked to spot the clouds and take the picture of their partner. Below are their output on this activity.
実際に外に出て、色々な雲の形を見つけて、今見える雲はどんな形かなぁと探したり観察をしました。

Nice pictures Bougainvillea friends. Many friends said that its a cloudy day. Actually, it was raining a bit early in the morning. After their observation, their assessment is that they saw STRATOCUMULUS Clouds! Fantastic observation everyone! ☁️ 😊
ブーゲンビリアクラスのアクティビティ日は、曇り空ではありましたがお、その中でも子どもたちは雲を観察して形の違いに気づいている様子でした。

The next day (Thursday April 27), Sandanka friends went out as well to observe the clouds. They also check the clouds and take pictures of their partners. Let’s look at the result of their activity.
翌日はサンダンカクラスがアクティビティを行いました。天気も変わり、雲の見え方も変わり、素敵な写真もとれました。

It is definitely a lovely day. After observing and taking pictures, Sandanka friends said there are different types of clouds today. Wonderful observation everyone ⛅😊
サンダンカクラスの子どもたちも、色々な雲の形を見つけ、観察し、自分たちでiPadを使い写真も撮りました。

We are also learning a new song now ” Cloud Song”.
