Our K2 friends are enjoying their life in Kinder. However, it is a reality that they want to grow and learn more. One of the things that they are excited about is being in FIRST GRADE. Thus, they are given the opportunity to visit their older brothers and sisters in Elementary.
G1 friends have been learning a lot. One of their lessons is counting 1-10 in MATH.
They played using dice, counted, and colored the numbers on their papers.
It was great to experience how G1 friends are having their Math lessons but more importantly, it was wonderful to mingle with them. Thank you G1 for accommodating us ๐
It was perfect color as base for our flag! After few days of trying their best in making their original flag, here they are! This is a closer look of their own idea and creativity. Otter friends made their macramรฉ leaves and Whale friends sewn their fruits.
Ideas are always made better by a group of people dedicated to a goal. It is proven by our K2 friends who worked hard to think of how they can show their creativity and work together to fulfill their task of creating their own SPORTS DAY FLAG. Good job K2 friends! ๐
We would like to congratulate our K2 friends for putting their minds and hearts into our Sports Day ๐ Together with the teachers, they have shown their motivation and strength to improve their skills. Here are some of their memorable moments during the event.
Thank you for your endless support.

The wonderful weather is a good combination with our Kindergartener’s fantastic costumes today! ๐ Here we are as we heat up the runway and pose with our chosen costumes ๐
Our K2 friends have been taking care of our GARDEN since APRIL. ๐ It is a part of our morning routine to clean up outside, give water to our plants and of course, plant new plants. Here are some of the plants that we had and have in our garden.๏ผใใคใใK2ใฎใฟใใชใงใใใใใใฆใใใใใใใใฏใชใใชใฉใฎใใใใถใคใใก๏ผ
First, we planted OKRA ๐ They produced and we harvested lots of Okra but later on, the leaves slowly decreased as they were eaten by the caterpillars and other insects. Well, it is part of the give and take of the circle of life.
We also harvested CARROTS, BITTER MELON and BELL PEPPER from our garden. ๐
We heard that PANDAN has a fragrant leaves and it is commonly use as flavoring in the Philippines and other countries in Asia. Luckily, we received these “screwpine” leaves from one of our parents from Thailand. ๐
During Spring, we also planted some FLOWERS to give color to our surroundings.
AVOCADO is one of the healthiest vegetable/fruit that’s why it is loved by many but growing it is a challenge. Our K2 friend here, did a great job of growing this avocado from home and brought it to school. It is growing steadily and we are excited to see it bigger and bear fruit :)ใขใใซใใฏใใญใใใใใ ใฆใฆใใใชใซใใใใใชใใพใใ๏ผ
Look at these trees. These are from the seeds that we literally just put on the soil and behold, we have these growing PAPAYA and MANGO trees. Amazing! :)ใใใใใใ ใใฎใฎใณใณใในใใใใใใณใดใผใใใใคใคใฎใใใงใพใใ๏ผใใใใคใซใใ ใฆใใใใใชใซใใใใใใชใใพใใ๏ผ
We also have SWEET POTATO in our garden. We just planted the stems and see how many potatoes it will produce in the coming months. ๐
Check out this ONIONS! We usually use lots of onions in our cooking so, we thought of planting some as well. They are growing fast ๐
Since we have lots of plants in our garden, it is easy to forget what plant is it, so our Kinder friends thought of making PLANT SIGNS ๐ This also lead us to a decision for our K2 THEME from this month which is PLANT.
This is BANANA BLOSSOM/FLOWER. In the Philippines, we use this to cook a healthy dish with coconut milk. ใใใกใใใงใใ ใฆใฆใใใใใใใใใ ใฃใใใใฟใใชใงใคใใฃใฆใใในใใใญโช

It is a special day!ย It is the day to honor all the elderly for your many contributions to your family and the society throughout your lives. We appreciate all your love and efforts.
Our K1 friends made coasters and cards.
Our K2 friends made their special presents for their grandparents as well.
Before meeting our new friends from Taiwan, K2 friends learned a bit about where Okinawa, Japan and Taiwan are using the world map.
After that, we listened to a story about moon entitled ” ใพใใพใใใใฎใใคใใฟ” during our special story time. We also looked at the pictures of the moon since the Moon Festival is coming soon.
After that, we discovered that our Taiwan friends are also celebrating “Moon Festival”. So, we set up a zoom meeting to meet them.
Today, September 17th, 2021, our Kinder friends witnessed the Moon Festival ceremony of our Taiwan friends.
Our K2 friends showed them a Japanese hand play called “ใใ ใใใใใใฎใใกใคใ” and our friends from Taiwan also performed a “Moon Festival” song and dance.
THANK YOU for the mooncake that you sent us Taiwan friends.
To remember our first meeting with them, K2 friends drew on their journal their memory of today’s event. Here are some of them.
This year, the MOON FESTIVAL will be next week, September 21st, 2021. If you have time, please watch the moon on its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of Autumn with your child.
