Next week, we have an overnight trip(Thursday-Friday). We’ve been making our slides and learning about the places we’re going to. Everyone is so excited for the upcoming TRIP!!
Students have been working hard in art class for their name logo, and they have also been working hard to show their appreciation to their moms on Mother’s Day.
It has been two weeks since the start of 8th grade. Thank you to all the parents who took time out of their busy schedules to visit our classes.
Now, without further ado, I’d like to share some of the highlights from this week.
This week in Japanese class, we practiced calligraphy. We expressed our goals for the year using two-character idioms. Have your parents seen the works? Looking at everyone’s pieces, many students chose words like effort and challenge, while others wrote different inspiring goals.
And… the biggest event this week was the 7th Grade Welcome Event that was organized by Student Council. It was a great success! Since the weather was nice, a “getaway game” was held during 5th period. A total of 20 hunters were chosen from the 8th and 9th grades, while about 80 runners from across 7th, 8th, and 9th grades tried to escape. In the end, it was total annihilation—the hunters caught them all! As time passed, it became easier for the hunters to surround the runners, making it very difficult to escape.
Those who were caught enjoyed activities like karaoke, dancing, and watching movies. During 6th period, we played a gesture game in mixed-grade groups. All the games were a lot of fun. The teams that lost also got to enjoy karaoke, dancing, movies, and more chances to run away! It was indeed a long but enjoyable week for us!
