今週、私たち8年生は来週の金曜に迫る合唱コンクールに向けてより一層練習に励みました。色んな課題にぶつかりながらも、みんなで解決策、改善策を見つけていき優勝できるよう努めています。それと来月の末に控えているJH Olympic に向けても縦割りのチームで力を合わせています。木曜日にはバディタイムもあり先輩としてお手本を見せられました。イベントの多い月が続きますので、忙しそうな学生の様子が見られて精が出ます。

This week, we eighth graders practiced even harder in preparation for the upcoming choir competition next Friday. Despite facing different challenges, we are all working together to find solutions and make improvements so that we can win. We’re also collaborating with other grade levels and working together as a team for the upcoming JH Olympics next month. On Thursday, we had buddy time with G3 students, during which the older students showed / demostrate how to do things . With a month full of events ahead, it’s inspiring to see how engaged and active everyone is.

夏休みが終わって、今週から学校が始まりました。学校初日には、進路説明会がありました。約2週間後には期末テストも控えているので、みなさん勉強も頑張っています。家庭科の授業では、幼稚園生へのネームタグを作りました。それから、夏休み前に植えたひまわり。夏休み中、先生はあることに気づいたそうです、、。ひまわりがなくなっている！なんだって〜！？植えたことを知らなかった庭師が間違えて草刈りと一緒に刈っちゃったらしいです、、。まっ、そんな時はひまわりより大きく笑顔を咲かせましょう☺️🌻。そんなこんなで終えた1週間でした。

Summer vacation ended, and school started again this week. On the first day back, we had a career guidance session. With final exams coming up in about two weeks, everyone is working hard on their studies.

In home economics class, we made name tags for kindergarteners. Then, we checked on the sunflowers we had planted before summer break… but during the break, the teacher noticed something strange.

The sunflowers were gone! What happened?!

Apparently, the gardener—unaware that they had been planted—accidentally mowed them down along with the weeds…

Well, times like these call for smiles bigger than sunflowers ☺️🌻

And that’s how our week wrapped up.
