What is distance learning? <\/strong>\u300c\u9060\u9694\u5b66\u7fd2\u300d\u3068\u306f\uff1f<\/span><\/p>\n

Distance learning\u00a0is a way of learning remotely without being in regular face-to-face contact with a teacher in the classroom. Our goal is to ensure that AMICUS students are enabled to continue to learn effectively during school closure.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u9060\u9694\u5b66\u7fd2\u3068\u306f\u3001\u901a\u5e38\u306e\u6559\u5ba4\u306b\u3066\u5bfe\u9762\u3067\u884c\u308f\u308c\u308b\u3082\u306e\u3068\u306f\u9055\u3044\u3001\u96e2\u308c\u305f\u5834\u6240\u304b\u3089\u884c\u3046\u5b66\u7fd2\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306e\u76ee\u7684\u306f\u3001\u3053\u306e\u9060\u9694\u5b66\u7fd2\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30a2\u30df\u30fc\u30af\u30b9\u306e\u5b50\u3069\u3082\u305f\u3061\u304c\u4f11\u6821\u6642\u3067\u3082\u52b9\u679c\u7684\u306b\u5b66\u7fd2\u3092\u7d99\u7d9a\u3067\u304d\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

How do we get more information about distance learning? <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u3069\u3046\u3057\u305f\u3089\u9060\u9694\u5b66\u7fd2\u306b\u95a2\u3057\u3066\u3082\u3046\u5c11\u3057\u8a73\u7d30\u304c\u308f\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u304b\uff1f<\/span><\/p>\n

The school will send AMICUS parents email notifications about distance learning. Once lessons have been set, teachers will inform parents by grade. Guides and updates for Kinder and Elementary will be available in class\/grade blogs while instructions for Junior High will be posted in Google Classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n

AMICUS students will watch the lessons prepared by their teachers. Then, they will work on an activity. Finally, there will be a video conference with everyone in the class or grade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, they will. To make distance learning work, a device is needed to view lessons,\u00a0 work on assignments, and attend video conferences with teachers. It could be an iPad, tablet, or PC (MacBook for JH).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u306f\u3044\u3001\u9060\u9694\u5b66\u7fd2\u3092\u3059\u308b\u306b\u306f\u96fb\u5b50\u6a5f\u5668\u304c\u5fc5\u8981\u3067\u3059\u3002iPad\u3084\u30bf\u30d6\u30ec\u30c3\u30c8\u3001\u30d1\u30bd\u30b3\u30f3\u3092\u4f7f\u7528\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002\uff08\u4e2d\u5b66\u751f\u306fMacBook\uff09<\/span><\/p>\n

We have no access to Wi-fi at home. What should we do? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Wi-fi\u304c\u81ea\u5b85\u306b\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u304c\u3069\u3046\u3057\u305f\u3089\u3044\u3044\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/span><\/p>\n

We recommend parents to inquire about portable Wi-Fi that can be rented on a monthly basis. Kindly contact your child\u2019s homeroom teachers to inform them about it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Smartphones that parents are using for work are not recommended. A separate device for distance learning is advised, and the larger screen of a tablet, iPad or PC will be easier for your child to study with than a smartphone. For junior high students, they will need a laptop to complete their assignments.<\/span><\/p>\n

The school will provide a device that students can borrow provided that the parents will read and sign the Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP). Please note that availability will depend on the number of devices the school has. This agreement is effective while students use devices at school and when distance learning is required. Note that internet connection will still need to be provided at home.<\/span><\/p>\n

The learning cycle starts on Monday. Lessons and activities can be watched and done\u00a0anytime\u00a0within the given time frame. During the video conference, teachers may review the lessons, ask about students\u2019 work, and socialize with the students.<\/span><\/p>\n
