Hello 3A!

Welcome back to AMICUS and welcome to 3A.

We are very excited to get started and tackle the challenges ahead!

Who are we, you ask? Let us introduce ourselves.

Takeyuki Hakii (Canada/Japan):

Mr. Hakii was born in Japan but moved to Canada when he was 15 years old. He spent the next 12 years in Canada and moved to Australia in 2017 to teach at a high school. Mr. Hakii likes to play soccer, and is learning how to surf from Mr. Greig.

Message from Mr. Hakii: Hello everyone. Nice to meet you and welcome back. Together with Ms. Shinjo, I hope to make this year a meaningful one. I arrived at AMICUS in January and started as a grade 3 homeroom teacher. I had a lot of fun in that short period of time, so I am excited to see what a full year is going to be like!

Haruka Shinjo (Japan):

Ms. Shinjo is from Okinawa, and she has been teaching at AMICUS for three years. She has also taught at public schools in Okinawa before arriving at AMICUS. Ms. Shinjo used to play handball and likes watching sports.

Message from Ms. Shinjo:

Luckily, I was given the opportunity the teach the new grade three students again. I am very happy about that. This year, I hope to experience many things and grow together with the students. With your help, we will do our best to make this year a very good one.

On top of the class blogs, we will also publish a newsletter every month to keep everyone updated.

We will update this blog at least once a month as well.

Ms. Shinjo and Mr. Hakii
